What is Shahi Dastarkhan?

Dastarkhan is a word given to the traditional space where food is eaten.
The name Shahi Dastarkhan signifies something that binds every soul together with the happiness of food, or as we call it, a Royal Feast.

Shahi Dastarkhan was founded by Shivam Mendiratta in December 2016.

He believes that food is something that rests within everyone’s soul and that there’s always something more to it. A place where everyone can set their foot in marks the homecoming of a real soulful foodie. Food is what poetry is and the essence of it keeps everyone lured to its existence.

Shivam completed his B.Tech in Information Technology from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in 2018. He is a nature lover who loves to write Haikus and poems on love. A foodie and a wanderer, he has a flair for writing and tries to keep himself busy with some writing stuff. Besides writing poems and blogs, he’s also a theatre enthusiast who loves watching and participating in stage plays and street plays and tries to make the most out of it.
