While this lovely whether definitely compensates for the traffic and pollution, let’s just say that winter season means I can eat as much comfort food as I want, without feeling guilty! I mean, the term holiday weight is there for a reason right? It is totally one hundred percent legit, so toss that guilt away with the things you don’t need until its summer!
Can you think of anything more satisfying than a delicious steaming cuppa rich, thick hot chocolate on a chilly night? I absolutely can NOT! Let’s make the best of this delicious and indulgent hot chocolate recipe at home. My very favorite way to warm up in winters is with a big cup of something delicious, and this hot chocolate recipe is the perfect warm treat for a cold night.
Here’s my recipe of the Classic Hot Chocolate:
- Dark Chocolate
- Cocoa Powder
- Salt (optional)
1. In a saucepan, melt 25 grams of dark chocolate pieces, add ½ cup of milk along with 1 ½ tbsp. cocoa powder. Stir until completely mixed.
2. Remove from heat and add ½ cup more hot milk, 1 ½ tbsp. sugar and 1/8th tsp salt (optional).
3. Stir gently for about 3 minutes approx. until fully combined and frothy.
4. Add a sprinkle of dark/milk/white chocolate shavings.
And you are done! The perfect hot chocolate is ready! Time to curl up in bed with your steaming cuppa and a good book!
